Wiglaf, Bilbo, and Now Gunhilt

Gunhilt obviously never read Beowulf, or talked to him in Valhalla. The best way to annoy a dragon is to steal a silver cup from his
hoard. When Wiglaf swiped a small silver cup from the dragon, Beowulf and 12 other guys had to go fight it. Everyone but Beowulf ran
away, while Beowulf killed the wyrm, which then fell on him. Wiglaf came back to record Beowulf's final words.
This story was recycled into "The Hobbit" almost word for word in the scene where Bilbo Baggins steals the same cup from Smaug.
Gunhilt obviously never read that book either. Certainly she never talked to Professor Tolkien, as he is not in Valhalla but Valinor.
