Wing Types:
"Fancy Wing" Full Wing (Fig.A) : This wing type appears on 30% of Vampires today, where as before sixty years ago this wing type was
just as rare if not more so than the Lower Traditional Wing. Reason's for this have been speculated, but nothing concrete has yet been
discovered. Visually they are also the most sturdy looking. Along with being larger and more full, they also have a secondary colour which
is a thin 'webbed' membrane at the bottoms of their wings. The size of the extra webbing can vary and some can even connect all the way
down to the small of the back. In situations like these some Vampires will have the area trimmed to accommodate shirts better. The
webbing is delicate with little feeling normally, so such an operation is better than wear that could end with tearing.
Lower Traditional Wing (Fig.B) : This wing type appears on 10% of Vampires. It also gets it's name by having the same wing skin
attachment which is most commonly found on Vampire wings. These wings are the most flimsy looking, even if they are as strong as the
other wing types. It is due to their smaller size, and location that causes them to have the most injuries. For other wing types, when the
Vampire relaxes them, they will partially fold, and rest directly behind them, when one with Lower Traditional Wings allows them to relax,
they splay out to the sides more so. Due to their joints being angled out from the spinal area instead of resting securely inside of the
groove of the appropriately shaped shoulder blade.
On very rare occasions these wings can be as large as the largest of normal upper wings, making walking, a difficult chore for the ones
that have them. In situations like these, trimming may be required. It differs from the trimming on the 'Fancy Wings' due to the fact that
bone, and stiff wing tissues have to be removed. This process can be very painful for the one involved and it can require a long period of
healing.
In recent years, there's been efforts put forth for create some kind of support straps, one can have to allow the wings to rest behind the
individual instead of out to the side.
Traditional Wing (Fig.C) : This wing type appears on 60% of Vampires. At one point it was the only wing type Vampires had, and any
other type that came about was viewed as a deformity. Over the past one hundred and fifty years, the wings have slowly begun to
change, and allow other types, such as the 'Fancy Wing' and the 'Lower Traditional Wing' to become more frequently seen. Out of them
all, even with the growth of the other's being seen, this is the most recognized wing, and is still the ones featured on main stream signs,
and advertisements for Vampires.

Vampire vs Human Differences:
The differences are fairly extreme even if visually one could say that their wings, pointed ears and longer
incisors are the only differences.
Under just the visual differences, the eyes, bones, and organs are different.
Vampiric eyes can see better over all, and at night, they can see almost as well as a Felinik.
Except for the jaw and teeth and wing bones, Vampire bones are leaner and are porous to allow them to be
lighter. Along with the Jaw being made of hard dense bone, it can also unhinge like a snakes. This is still a trait
that hasn't been evolved out of the species yet. For it is a throwback to the days when Vampire's where dive
and kill hunters. As in, they would fly, see their prey, dive bomb it, and attack it's neck, usually the back of it,
and allow them to chomp down to the point of breaking if need be. Or, as has since been discovered, allow their
teeth entry into the highly sensitive nerve areas of the larger cattle and hooves animals that were abundant in
the open area's of the continent back when this would have been done. Researchers have since decided that
such pin point pressure to these areas, would send the animal into a stupor or shock, allowing the Vampire to
feed, and leave with little difficulty.
As well, some of the major Organs differ greatly from a Humans.
The Stomach is far smaller than a Humans, and their equivalent of an appendix is far larger. This is due to the
animal blood most still consume, to keep to 'tradition'. There are other foods which provide the same enzymes
and hormones as blood, and these are perfectly acceptable things to eat within the Vampire Community.
The Lungs are another point of interest. They are larger and stronger than a humans, this allows them to not
having to breathe as often as humans, and also allow them to get enough air to keep themselves conscious at
heights where the air would be thinner and would be taxing on one of the other species.
Flight: Besides the wings, the most separating
thing between Vampires and the other species is
that they have the ability to fly.
It took until closer to modern day to fully understand
how Vampires can fly, even with wings that don't
conform fully to nature's set rules. Even if their
bodies are made up for flight, the wings themselves
tend to be too small on the average vampire to
physically achieve lift.
How it dose work is that the Vampiric Aura, is
opposite that of the planets. Once they become
'aware' of the difference, they can use the
opposites of Aura to enable lift. At first this is a
mental decision, then as it's used more, the mental
does it automatically when one flaps their wings,
allowing the sight of smooth lift off and flight.
There are yet no ways to actually break this ability
magically, much to the chagrin of the ones that
might wish to harm a Vampire. Though there are
spells that can be used to 'pull' and 'restrain' them,
allowing the ascending vampire to be stopped.
