Q: What is used for money? A: Their money is called Viseal. It consists of small and thin solid cylindrical sticks which represent whole dollars and coins which fill in the smaller dollar fractions.
Q: How many days and months are there in a Sahnlinn Year? A: Sahnlinn has 9 day weeks and 14 months. Their year roll over happens in the Summer. Due to incredibly driven (slightly and not so slightly manic) Mages and Scholars who worked together long ago, the Imperial Calender has been worked out where it has 38 days in every month. This replaced the old Calender which had a mismatch of days per month and an odd number of months in a year.
Q: How long is their day? A: Their day has 26 hours in it. Translated each one of their hours is 90 of our minutes. Meaning that one of their days is 39 of our hours or just a bit longer than a day and a half. Just to note their hours are 60 of their minutes long.
Q: What are their clocks like? A: Their clocks work on what we'd call military time. Digital Clocks are the norm nowadays, but for people who have analog clocks, the last 13 hours of the day are found on the inside ring of numbers. As a note, digital clocks do not display ':' like ours do. They found that it wasn't needed.
Q: What is the date and time of year at the starting issue of your comic? A: The year is 1438 and we are in the third month Yorel. Their first day of school falls on the 15th.
Q: How many days do they go to school? A: Students of all ages go to school 6 days a week.
Q: What time of day do they go to school? A: As students get older their school day starts later until they get to be in College and University.
Elementary Schoolers - 8:00am Middle Schoolers - 9:00am High Schoolers - 10:00am College/University - Varied on when classes start. Typically they start at 9:00am, though many classes have to take place earlier. Example being Earth Magic classes or any Natural studies.
Q: How long is a school day? A: That really varies for each type of school. For the Everlasting Echoes group their day would typically be 6 hours. Without the inclusion of a before or after school activity which are mandatory to graduate.
Q: How is a typical day laid out? A: Normal High School Day Schedule:
8-10 - Possible before school clubs 10 - 1st class. 11 - 2nd class 12 - 3rd class 13 - Lunch 14 - 4th class 15 - 5th class 16-18 - Possible after school clubs
The schedule can vary individually later on due to the inclusion of 'spares' if a student has had enough courses to cover the credits needed to graduate. If they have plenty of courses to fill in their day already extracurricular activities can be done, or extra work that'll count to any future schooling. If future schooling or the like is not a goal or one just doesn't wish to fill in their free time with classes, then a student is free to do whatever they want as long as it isn't disrupting or breaking any school rules.
